The front tyre of the Karoo 4 is a single compound tyres. The radial sizes feature a carbon black compound with extreme resistance to abrasion, a direct evolution of what was used for the Karoo 3. From the cross-ply sizes, the engineers of the Metzeler brand developed a brand new compound with the aim of reaching a wider operating range and an even greater adhesion to surfaces.
